Okay, you all were so helpful with my art wall that I thought I’d throw this out. I need a wall sconce for the grasscloth wall in this space. It’s kind of dark at the top of the shelf so I need something where the gold gazing ball currently is. Or higher? The style is midcentury modern (house built in 1960). Ideas?
what’s on my mind right now:

I don’t think you should put a sconce there…what’s it supposed to light up? If you want more light in the room, you could get a table lamp and put it on top of the lower shelves (where the African sculpture thing is). Here are some thoughts:

I want them ALL. I think we need something shining DOWN into the room. That vaulted ceiling is really dark in winter. Although something shining up would show off the interesting architecture. And cobwebs. oooh what to do, what to doooo

After looking at the wall what about this idea? Sorry tried to post a picture, but the only thing that will post is the website. http://theartofchildrenspicturebooks.blogspot.com/2010/12/getting-crafty-with-old-books.html
