Three things I’m grateful for:
- The Delete button on my keyboard. It is my favorite way to deal with cranky e-mail notes.
- Jay again. For reasons I would never post on the Internet. He makes me laugh.
- Mount Rainier, greeting me at sunrise on a rare, clear morning in November:
What are you thankful for right now?

Today I’m grateful for cold medicine, for a husband who will buy me chicken soup when I can’t make my own, and for a comfortable bed in which to convalesce. I just might make it through this after all!

–I’m grateful for the saucepan on my stove filled with water into which I’ve sprinkled cinnamon and cloves. Now the whole house smells divine and I’m ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
–I’m grateful for the 4 seasons, because the sunlight comes in through the skylights and windows at different angles, depending on the season, shining brightly on various objects. Today, the row of cookbooks on my kitchen counter were aglow with sunlight. Yesterday when I was washing dishes the sun was shining on my head.
–I’m grateful for my house plants, especially in winter when everything in the garden is dead or hibernating. I’m grateful that people give me their “dead” plants, saying there’s no hope, and I can bring them back to vigorous health.

I am thankful for being able to live in an apartment in a house where is does not cost me to do my laundry.
I am grateful for my wonderful landlords who will put out my garbage for me on garbage day.
I am grateful to be able to look out my big picture window in the kitchen while I am at my computer and watch the snow that is falling.

That is a beautiful photo! I will never be thankful for a morning, but that is a breathtaking view.
I’m thankful for my dry cleaner. Even though she totally overcharges for some minor sewing, she really isn’t expensive dry cleaning my coat.
I’m thankful for my postal workers who always tell me the best way to send things.
I’m thankful for Subway because it gave me a free cookie with purchase of a combo meal. It’s a promotion some Subways are doing and chocolate chip cookies always brighten my day.
I’m thankful for my sister-in-law who is the only other person who knows what it’s like to marry into our inlaw family. No matter what goes on in our lives, we always have that in common.
