Today’s Gratitude List
1. Sundays at Panera with hubby and friends
2. Cooler weather, so we can open some windows and enjoy the fresh air–and lower electric bills.
3. Central Florida Romance writers — yesterday’s meeting showed how much support they give to everyone regardless of where they are along writing’s path.

I am thankful for the food we have to eat. At almost every meal we eat, we say a prayer of thanks for our food. Because we are trying to teach our Little Guy the prayer, we keep it simple, “Thank you, Jesus, for our food. Amen.” Now he says it with us, and I realize, I truly am grateful we have food to eat.

I am grateful for a Sabbath day when I can go to my church and worship God according to my beliefs, with my friends, without being hounded by someone in an authoritative position who doesn’t believe the way I do. Isn’t that, after all, one of the main reasons for the founding of our wonderful country?
I also am grateful for the beautiful weather we’re having. I hesitate to say it, but we really do need some rain in the Dallas area. (Hopefully we won’t get a flood now that I’ve mentioned it!)
I am grateful for the many, many birds we feed each day. Every morning they enundate our yard by the hundreds, and sometimes, it looks like we have a new and different paving design for a patio under the feeders, they are so thick! They are amazing and so much fun to watch, especially the blue jays diving for peanuts.
